Kraken are legendary sea monsters of giant proportions said to dwell off the coast of Norway and Greenland. The Giant Octopus in this movie is much bigger then a real Giant Octopus. After being frozen in ice for 10 million years Mega Shark and Giant Octopus are freed by a pod of whales and a crashing helicopter. Sometime later, Giant Octopus attacks a drilling platform in japan. Later on they tried to lure the two creatures to be studied. A small submarine brings them to an ice trench off of Alaska. The Mega shark and Giant Octopus start to engage in battle. But they seperate and Mega shark starts attacking the submarine. Mega shark tries to attack another bigger submarine and succeeds, aswell as Giant Octopus which strangles a submarine. In the end they start battling again and this time Mega shark bites off multiple tentacles causing Giant Octopus to bleed to death, and Mega shark to be chocked out by Giant Octopus' remaining tentacles.

Giant Octopus has tentacles large and big enough to wrap around an entire drilling platform.
